How does it feel to wear a generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) flare?

During a GPP flare, patients may experience a myriad of debilitating effects that range from physical pain to social stigma, to potential life-threatening complications.1-6

Boehringer Ingelheim partnered with internationally renowned designer Bart Hess to create a fashion collection that conveys the suffering that GPP patients may endure: a collection that’s impossible to ignore—and impossible to wear. Hess made use of unconventional materials
such as paper, plexiglass, and knives to develop THE UNWEARABLE COLLECTION™.
“We want to help doctors understand the [impact] of this disease,”5-7 he explained, “so we created a clothing collection based entirely on real patients’ experiences with GPP.”

Experiences with GPP are not universal and vary by person.
